a magpie, a raven, whatever, [that’s been] killed. I hang it up

so they won’t go and steal my – my eggs.

29 (a) štòt kət vìždat ə suràkit’ȅ tàm n’àmə də mi zɤ̀mət jəjcàtə̥

Because when the magpies see it, [then] they won’t steal the eggs.

Hah. Who killed this one [here]?

I went off into the vineyard, [and it was there] when I got back; [it doesn’t matter] who killed it.

I found it fallen on the ground, so I took it
