69 (GK) božà ràbota božà ràbota ne mòm se bɤ̀rkame f nèja

It’s God’s work. It’s God’s work! We can’t get mixed up in it.

70 (c) nèma bè bòg bòg bòk me nèče jà mu se mòl'a

There’s no God. God! God! God doesn’t want me. I pray to him.

71 (c) bè slèzni bè èla me prìberi onì vìkat bòk štòm te nèče

"Hey, come down! Come take me home!" They say if God doesn’t want you,

72 (c) nèma òn kogà kàže òn kogà kàže

it won’t happen. [It’ll be] when he says. When he says.

When he says.

123 (c) bèk'i se vìdime na ònija svèt

Let’s just hope that we’ll see each other in the next world.

Certainly [you will].

If there is [one].

If there is something …

If there is [one].

37 (a) tìj v'èke d'èto ìdiš bògə zabrɑ̀w'ət

Now wherever you go they’ve forgotten God.

38 (a) də im tr'àbva n'ɛ̀što nə bògə

If they need something, God …

40 (a) tàm še ìdət amə

… [is] where they will [need to] turn, but …

42 (a) ne ìm tr'àba

… they [think] they don’t need [God any more].

44 (a) sìčko sa vəzgɛ̀na vèk'e segɑ̀.

They’ve all turned [the wrong way] now.

Mogilica 4

9 (a) pàk enəgà dàvət kulàci pekɔ̀t sìč’ku də vɛ̀rvət də dàvə al:àh hùbəvu

they give out breadstuffs and bake everything so they’ll believe, that Allah gives good,

10 (a) də sə žìvi də sə ràdvət də sə

that everyone may live and rejoice, and –

12 (a) i gu rəzdàvət kutrìnu sə nəbòžni kutrìnu vɛ̀rvət

and give it out. Those who are pious [that is], those who believe.

13 (a) kòjnu ne vɛ̀rvə

[As for] the one who doesn't believe –

15 (a) a [laughter]

well – [laughter]

26 (a) n’è jɛ̀ ti kàzvəm jɛ̀ səm tìj mə mène rùkət də pòskàzvəm

We – I tell you, I’m – [people] call on me to tell [them]

27 (a) es’è elè səm nəbòžnə mlògu jɛ̀ ne vɛ̀rvəm

how pious I am. I don’t believe [in that way of doing things].

28 (a) jɛ̀ è gi kàrəm i deč'ìš'tətə i vnùč'etətə də vɛ̀rvət

I – I make my children and grandchildren believe,

29 (a) də nə pràət lòš’u də də uvəž’ɛ̀vət hòrətə

not to do anything bad, to respect people,

30 (a) də nìš’tu də ne zgreš’ɛ̀vət

and not to commit sin in any way.

33 (a) də nèmə grɛ̀š'ki də vìdiš' gə ədìn čuvɛ̀k də mu pumògneš'

That there be no errors. That if you see someone [in need], you help him,

34 (a) nè də ìeš' pòsle də mu se prismìvəš' i

not [just] to go off and later make fun of him

35 (a) də mòž’e də mu pumògneš’ də gu səž’əlìš’

when you could have helped him, and felt pity for him

36 (a) tə tə i tèbe əl:àh də dəde hùbəvu

[If you do all this], then Allah will give you well-being.
