There was – we had gardens by the pump station, transplanted everything there.

Mine, then yours, two hundred meters’ [long], all in a row –

6 (a) kòlko po màlko i tàm sàde:me pipèra tàm polìva:me
maybe a bit less – and we planted peppers there, and irrigated them.

7 (a) tùka sàmo kartofi sàdexme a pòsle oddòle onàa gradìna
[but] here we only planted potatoes. Then there was that garden below

19 (a) do kràja lòze u brèga dòle ràvno ta nasàdim domàti
vineyards along the hillside. It’s flat below, so [that’s where] I grow tomatoes,

20 (a) čùški màlko i tovà e
a few peppers, and that’s it.

where the soldiers built the barracks, that was a garden.

124 (a) napusnàa i gradìna napusnàa i sìčku
And [others] gave up [their] gardens, they gave up everything.

125 (GK) ama tì glèdam pàk tùka si pu posadìla si nèšto
But I look around here and I see that you’ve planted something anyway.

126 (a) ama nìe posadìjme za sadèn'e te segà dòždo kato zavelè
Well yes, we planted – planting [is one thing]. And just now some rain came

127 (a) è go segà se rascəftè
so things just now bloomed.
